Whittaker Arms Basic Handgun Course
Basic Firearms Safety, Handling, and Live fire
Created for the new shooter who has not shot a firearm before, needs a refresher, or questions if they understand the basics of shooting.
A 1-on-1 or private group oriented course for the new shooter(s) who never fired a firearm before, needs a refresher, or questions if they understand the basics of shooting.
Class given at a private, secluded range where there will be no interruptions or disruptions.
Classes ONLY given to individuals or a small group (friends or family).
Interactive / feedback, targets and hearing / eye protection will be provided.
Topics Covered:
- Basic Pillars of Firearm Safety
- Anatomy and Physiology of handguns
- How to disassemble, clean, and reassemble your handgun
- How to aim your handgun
- How to correctly stand and hold your handgun
- At least 50 rounds of live fire
- Basic firearm law
Date / Time:
Due to the nature of the course being private, please contact us to schedule a date and time for your class.
Weather / Rain:
In event extreme Weather is forecasted, you will be notified in regard to scheduling an alternate date.
Location:
Buena Vista Township (Range info provided upon registration)
Cost:
$200 per person or group rate available upon request.
Things to Bring:
Bring your own firearm and ammo and appropriate attire (no sweat pants or shorts).
Ammo Note:
50 rounds of ammo (minimum) is required. We will fire until you are comfortable.
Length of Course:
Class goes at your own pace. A typical class is between 2-3 hours.
